After ten years experience in the motor trade, Colin Gregg Cars decided to diversify into vehicle rentals and car hire, offering vehicles no older than one year old. Aimed at both the business and the leisure travel market, A1 Car Hire was born to accommodate these two areas.
Why hire?
Hiring a car, minibus or people carrier from A1 Car Hire is a good way to explore the Orkneys. About the Orkney Islands
The Orkney Islands is a collection of 37 islands, with the biggest one being the Mainland. The Mainland of the Orkneys includes Kirkwall, the administrative capital and the home of A1 Car Hire.
On the Mainland is the 'Heart of Neolithic Orkney', a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. Viking settlers comprehensively occupied Orkney, and the islands became a possession of Norway until being given to Scotland during the 15th century as part of a dowry settlement.
